Shivanand was an influential Indian politician and freedom fighter from the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, born on January 3, 1922. He served as President of Rewa Rajya Praja Mandal and was imprisoned multiple times during India's freedom struggle. He was elected to the Vindhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1952 and served as its Speaker. He was also a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1957 to 1962. Shivanand worked closely with notable leaders like Pt. Nehru and authored several books on historical and social topics.
