Shigeaki Ishikawa (石川 重明, 1944–2017) was a Japanese former police official and lawyer. He served as the 83rd Commissioner General of the National Police Agency from August 2, 2002, to 2004. After retiring from the police, he became the chairman of the Japan Road Traffic Information Center. Ishikawa was born in Shizuoka Prefecture. He graduated from the University of Tokyo and joined the National Police Agency in 1968. He served in various positions, including Director of the Public Security Division of the Metropolitan Police Department, Director of the Investigation Division of the National Police Agency, Chief of the Ibaraki Prefectural Police, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, Chief of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police, Director General of the Kanto Regional Police Bureau, and Director General of the National Police Agency. He was appointed Commissioner General of the National Police Agency in 2002. After retiring from the police, he became a lawyer and served as a director of several companies. He died of pulmonary embolism at a hospital in Chiba Prefecture on October 13, 2017, at the age of 73.
