He joined Al-Kawkab Club in 1977 and spent his entire career there, declining offers from prominent Saudi clubs like Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr. He retired at 28 due to recurring injuries. Al-Nafisah represented the Saudi national team for eight years, scoring over 20 international goals, including the first in the 1984 AFC Asian Cup final, which Saudi Arabia won. He also scored in the 1984 Olympic qualifiers against South Korea.
