Sharad Kumar is an Indian para high jumper and a former world number one athlete, born on March 1, 1992, in Patna, Bihar. He first competed internationally at the 2010 Asian Para Games. In the 2014 Asian Para Games, he broke a 12-year-old Asian Games record by winning a gold medal in the T42 category high jump, reclaiming his top world ranking. He placed sixth at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and won a silver medal at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships. He earned a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo.
