Shantanu Biswas (1954-2019) was a notable Bangladeshi dramatist, playwright, stage director, singer-songwriter, and composer from Chittagong. Over his career, he wrote and directed many full-length plays and acted in over sixteen productions. His prominent works include 'Informer' (1982) and 'Julius Ceasar er Shesh Shaat Din' (1987). He released five solo albums starting with his debut, 'Chirkut' in 2009, and his final album, 'Sritir Shohore,' was released posthumously in 2019. His musical style incorporated modern poetry, varied tunes, and global music influences.
