Shane Mortimer, born on December 24, 1955, is a Ngambri man with deep ties to Canberra. Originating from Belmore, Sydney, he discovered his Aboriginal heritage in 1989, tracing it back to his maternal line connected to the Ngambri. His grandmother was a victim of the Stolen Generations. Mortimer has been residing in the Canberra area since the early 1990s and co-produced the film 'Vulnerable' in 2009-10. He is also involved in a documentary series on Australian grasslands and serves as Chairman of the Ag-Arts Residency Kenmore Limited.
