Shamsher Bahadur Singh (1911-1993) was an influential Indian poet and writer, noted for his contributions to modern Hindi poetry. He was known for creating unique masculine images and was a key figure in the progressive literary movement. Born in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, Singh began his education in Dehradun. In 1977, he received the Sahitya Akademi Award for his notable work 'Chuka Bhi Hun Nahin Main'. He passed away in Ahmedabad on May 12, 1993.
