Shalva Abzianidze was a Georgian politician and philosopher born on August 8, 1952, in Tbilisi. He graduated from Tbilisi State University in 1974 and held various academic positions there, including lecturer and professor. Abzianidze was a member of the Parliament from the electoral block 'Round Table – Free Georgia' and served as Secretary of the Economic Reform Commission. He was a member of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia from 1990-1991 and signed the Act of Restoration of State Independence of Georgia on April 9, 1991.
