Shakir Ali (1916–1975) was a prominent modern Pakistani artist and educator known for his influence on cubism in Lahore. He served as the principal of the National College of Arts, where he began as a lecturer in 1954. Following the school's name change in 1958, he became its first Pakistani principal in 1962. Ali inspired many notable artists in Pakistan, including his students Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Jamil Naqsh, Bashir Mirza, and Ahmed Pervez. His contributions significantly shaped contemporary art in Pakistan.
