Sergio Borelli was an influential Italian journalist born on May 4, 1923. He launched his career in post-WWII Milan with the socialist newspaper L'Avanti. In 1949, he received a UNESCO Fellowship, enabling him to gain experience at London newspapers and the BBC Foreign Department. After returning to Milan in 1952, he contributed to various weeklies before joining the daily publication Il Giorno in 1956, where he worked as a foreign correspondent. Borelli's work left a significant mark on journalism, particularly within the political and social arenas.
