Sergey Garklavs was an Orthodox priest born on December 20, 1927, in Ventspils, Latvia. He served as the spiritual father of the brotherhood of the Tikhvin Assumption Monastery. A notable figure in the Orthodox Church in America, he was the adopted son of Archbishop Ioann Garklavs and the last custodian of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God. He passed away on October 19, 2015, in Chicago, USA.
