Semih Sait Umar was a Turkish Cypriot writer born in 1923. He received his education at Cyprus Islamic School and Ankara Gazi High School. Umar began his writing career in the 1940s, publishing poetry and stories in various periodicals under pseudonyms like İlhan Yücebaş and Rıza Burçak. His notable works include 'Kemalizm ve Komünizm' (1987), 'Man and Universe' (1990), 'İnsan ve Evren' (1993), and 'Diriliş' (1997). He also translated a book titled 'Dünyanın Büyük Felsefeleri'. Umar passed away on December 13, 2009.
