Seiji Takeda (born October 29, 1947) is a Japanese philosopher, literary critic, and music critic. He is a Professor Emeritus at Waseda University and an ex-professor at the International Program of Waseda University. He also teaches at Shizenkan University. As a second-generation Korean Japanese, Takeda emerged in 1983 with his work "The Basis of Zainichi," influenced by Husserl's phenomenology, to create his unique form of phenomenology. His critiques extensively cover human studies and include notable works like "Introduction to Philosophy for Self-Discovery" (1990) and "Rethinking Modern Philosophy" (2004).
