Seiichi Izumino (February 26, 1902 – June 25, 1966) was a Japanese writer born in Yamagata Prefecture. After graduating from elementary school, he initially worked in agriculture before joining Kawasaki Asano Cement. He self-published his work 'Nōmin' in 1926 and was active as a proletarian writer. Post-war, Izumino shifted his focus towards writing juvenile novels and baseball stories, contributing significantly to Japanese literature during his time.
