Seigō Yamanaka (April 10, 1927 - December 31, 2013) was a Japanese sociologist and advertising researcher. He was born in Kyoto and graduated from Kyoto University. He completed his graduate studies in sociology at Rikkyo University and served as an associate professor and later a professor at Seijo University until his retirement in 1998, after which he became a professor emeritus. In April 2009, he received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver and Gold Rays for his contributions.
