Satomi Kōe (July 6, 1950 - February 14, 2016) was a Japanese manga artist from Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture. She made her debut in 1973 with the work 'Himo' published in Young Comic. After graduating from high school, she worked at SaiTō Pro and later co-founded Studio Ship with Koike Kazuo, Seisaku Kanō, and Yū Koyama. Throughout her career, she published numerous works as a graphic novelist. At the time of her passing, she was serializing 'Bakudan Tsubame' in 'Stranger Sorento.'
