Born on December 15, 1922, he served as a member of the National Assembly of South Korea during the 5th, 9th, 10th, and 11th sessions. His family lineage is traced back to the Pyeongsan Shin clan, and he was known by his pen name, Wolgang (월강). He played a significant role in the political and social landscape of South Korea in the mid-20th century.
