Sakari Momoi was a Japanese supercentenarian born on February 5, 1903, in Minamisōma, Fukushima. He became Japan's oldest living man on July 23, 2013, and held the title of the world's oldest man after the death of Alexander Imich on June 8, 2014. In addition to his remarkable longevity, Momoi was a former teacher and owned a personal library with approximately 2,000 books. He passed away on July 5, 2015, in Saitama.
