Saburō Nei (March 18, 1902 - March 31, 1992) was a Japanese diplomat and legal official known for his humanitarian actions during World War II. As deputy consul in Vladivostok, he protested against the Japanese foreign ministry's directives and granted permission for Jewish refugees, escaping via the so-called 'Visas for Life' issued by Chiune Sugihara, to board ships to Japan. It was revealed in 2017 that he had also issued his own version of these visas, known as the Nei visas, further contributing to the rescue of Jewish lives.
