She excelled in her 12th standard exams, scoring 1176 out of 1200, which would have assured her a medical seat had her state board marks been considered. Unfortunately, in NEET-UG 2017, she scored 12.33% which was below the required cut-off for admission, leading to her tragic suicide on 1 September 2017. Her death sparked significant controversy regarding the NEET exam and the admission process in Tamil Nadu.
