S. A. Kosonen was a Finnish theosophical writer born on March 29, 1909, in Turku, and he passed away on August 22, 1961, in Oulu. He became a member of the Rosy Cross in the mid-1930s after being influenced by Pekka Ervast's book 'What is Death?' and attending a lecture by J. R. Hannula in Oulu. In 1940, he co-founded the Pekka Ervast Support Association and established the magazine 'Pohjolan Valo,' which he edited until 1960, when he transferred the role to Alma Allinniem and moved to Nivala.
