Ruggero Savinio is an Italian painter and writer born in Turin on December 22, 1934. He is the son of Alberto Savinio and actress Maria Morino, and the nephew of painter Giorgio de Chirico. He grew up in Rome, engaged in cultural circles, and studied Literature at La Sapienza University. Later, he lived in Paris and Milan before returning to Rome in 1984. His work has been displayed in major international galleries and prestigious museums, earning accolades such as the Peggy Guggenheim prize and membership in the Accademia di San Luca.
