Rufus Hatten was an American catcher in the Negro leagues during the 1940s. He debuted in the Negro leagues in 1942 with the Memphis Red Sox and played for several teams, including the Chicago American Giants and the Baltimore Elite Giants, until 1946. After his Negro league career, he continued playing in minor leagues with the Bluefield Blue-Grays in 1952. Hatten was born on June 16, 1912, and passed away in December 1968 at the age of 56.
