Rostom Chkheidze is a prominent Georgian author, academic, and politician born on April 1, 1959. He has been a member of the Parliament of Georgia since 2020. Renowned for his works focused on 19th-century Georgian culture, he has also contributed to literary criticism and translations of Western literature. Chkheidze is the son of author Otar Chkheidze and brother to politician Nato Chkheidze. He is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Culture Committee and has been involved with notable academic institutions throughout his career.
