Ross 'Satchel' Davis (July 28, 1918 – January 1, 2013) was an American baseball pitcher known for his time in the Negro leagues. He played for the Baltimore Elite Giants in 1940 and for the Cleveland Buckeyes in 1943 and 1947. Notably, in 1940, he and teammate Willie Hubert achieved a combined no-hitter against the Newark Eagles. Davis also served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II, showcasing his commitment both on and off the field.
