Rolf Lars Adolfsson von Bahr was a Swedish engineer and pioneering autogiro pilot, born on February 6, 1912, in Stockholm. He obtained traffic pilot and mechanic certificates in the 1930s and became a commercial pilot in the UK. In 1934, he delivered Sweden's first autogiro. He operated under the name AB Helikopterflyg starting in 1945 and conducted reconnaissance flights for the Swedish Navy during WWII. After the war, he transitioned to helicopter aviation and sold his autogiros by 1949, with some now preserved in museums.
