Jan Anders Roland Andersson, born August 21, 1947, is a Swedish politician representing the Social Democratic Party. He was the municipal councilor in Borås from 1982 to 1998 and subsequently the leading representative of the Social Democrats in Västra Götaland. Andersson entered politics in 1968, becoming a councilor in Borås in 1974 and serving as the chairman of the municipal board from 1994 to 1998. He became the regional council chairman after the formation of Västra Götalandsregionen in 2000, transitioning to a full-time political career after being an engineer.
