Raoul 'Roel' Van Bambost is a Flemish singer and film expert known for his work in the artistic duo Miek and Roel alongside his wife. He studied at HRITCS after finding university too theoretical. He served as a film critic for VRT from 1991 to 2010, succeeding Jo Röpcke and contributing segments about film. Although his segment was discontinued in 2008, he expressed a desire to remain involved in the film world. He leads an organization dedicated to film in Flanders-Gent and has two sons from his marriage.
