Roel Cazemier is a Dutch politician and administrator born on April 12, 1959, in Oldebroek. He is a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). Cazemier served as a civil servant in Fryslân, and as mayor of Ruinerwold, It Amelân, and Dongeradiel. He was awarded the Frisian Press Prize in 2001 and held various leadership roles, including chairing the Wadden Council. Cazemier also served as director of Omrop Fryslân and was appointed mayor of Krimpenerwaard in 2016, retiring in January 2022 with the title Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
