He played as a right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper for multiple teams, including Oxford University and Sussex, appearing in 38 first-class matches from 1961 to 1969. He scored 929 runs with a top score of 70 and completed 52 catches. After retiring from playing, he became a coach at Clontarf Cricket Club and later at Belvedere College in Dublin, further contributing to the sport until his passing on December 9, 2017.
