Robert Lynch Wilbur (1925 - October 31, 2022) was an American botanist and emeritus professor at Duke University. He was renowned for his study of the floras of Costa Rica and the southeastern United States, as well as for taxonomic and nomenclatural work on various plant groups, including Ericaceae, Gentianaceae, Campanulaceae, Cistaceae, and Myricaceae. He obtained his doctoral degree under Rogers McVaugh at the University of Michigan. The standard abbreviation 'Wilbur' is used in citations.
