Robert D. Schaldach is an American astronomer known for his contributions to the discovery of astronomical objects. He co-discovered the asteroid 6277 Siok on August 24, 1949, alongside Henry Lee Giclas. Additionally, he is credited with the co-discovery of the asteroid 1886 Lowell and, together with Pelageja Shajn, he co-discovered the periodic comet 61P/Shajn-Schaldach on September 18, 1949.
