Rob Edwards was an English trials rider born in Thornaby-on-Tees on December 11, 1945. He was a prominent competitor in the European Trials Championship during the 1970s, later referred to as the World Championship from 1975 onward. Notably, he won the British Experts Trial in 1971 and the Scott Trial in 1974. Renowned for his effective and spectacular riding style, Edwards is best remembered as one of the most charismatic riders of Montesa, alongside other notable riders such as Don Smith and Malcolm Rathmell.
