Rita Abrahamsen is a Norwegian theater director and special educator, born in 1953. She has primarily worked at Trøndelag Teater and has directed various productions including 'Den gang nå' and 'Napoleons død'. She founded the theater group Kjernehuset to promote contemporary drama. Abrahamsen is also a trained Alexander Technique teacher and has been involved in youth theater projects. In 2015, she received the 'Håndtrykk' award for her contributions to Norwegian drama. She has a Jewish background and has been active in cultural and educational organizations.
