Risto Matti Soramies, born on 13 December 1946 in Helsinki, Finland, is a prominent religious leader. He has served as the first bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese of Finland since 4 May 2013. His ordination was conducted by Matti Väisänen, a bishop associated with the Mission Province of Sweden and Finland. In December 2014, Soramies played a significant role in the international Lutheran community by consecrating Robert Kaumba as bishop of the Lutheran Evangelical Church in Africa—Zambia Diocese.
