Rigmor Austgulen (1949 - April 19, 2018) was a physician and professor of medicine at NTNU, specializing in pediatrics. She served as pro-rector from 1996 to 1999 and was known as an active societal debater. Austgulen obtained her medical education from the University of Bergen and earned her doctorate in immunology in 1988 as the first woman at NTNU's medical faculty. She advocated for research in improving life and health for pregnant women and children and initiated programs to recruit more women into technology studies.
