He is best known for his one-man shows, 'The First Night of Pygmalion' (1968) and 'A Talent To Abuse' (1981), which he wrote and performed. His works received attention, with the first being adapted for television twice. His portrayal of Evelyn Waugh in 'A Talent To Abuse' garnered criticism from Waugh's son. Besides his plays, Huggett authored a notable biography of Binkie Beaumont in 1989 and had a career that spanned several decades.
