Richard Earnshaw was an English first-class cricketer, born on 8 January 1939. He played for the Combined Services cricket team during his National Service, debuting in 1960 against South Africa. He made another appearance in 1961 against Northamptonshire, scoring a total of 11 runs and bowling 67 wicketless overs. Tragically, Earnshaw died at the young age of 24 on 28 July 1963. His cricket career was brief, yet he represented an important transitional period for servicemen in sports.
