Richard Dawkins, born on March 26, 1941, is a British evolutionary biologist and author. He is an emeritus fellow of New College, Oxford, and served as the Professor for Public Understanding of Science at the University of Oxford from 1995 to 2008. Dawkins is an atheist known for his criticism of creationism and intelligent design. His notable works include 'The Selfish Gene' (1976), which popularized gene-centered evolution, and 'The God Delusion' (2006), where he argues against the existence of a supernatural creator. He founded the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science in 2006.
