He participated in the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, the Spanish Civil War, and World War II, where he became an ace in the Royal Air Force with five confirmed aerial victories. Roveda was decorated with five Silver Medals and three Bronze Medals for military valor, as well as the German Iron Cross of the second class, recognizing his bravery and accomplishments in combat.
