Riad Al Sunbati (November 30, 1906 – September 10, 1981) was an influential Egyptian musician and composer, recognized as one of the foremost Arab musicians, especially noted for his ability to compose Arabic poetry. He created 539 musical works, including operas, operettas, sketches, dialogues, monologues, cinematic songs, religious songs, and muwashshah. He worked with 120 poets and collaborated with renowned singers such as Umm Kulthum, and he notably composed his last pieces for Azziza Jalal. His work greatly influenced the Arabic music landscape.
