Reuven Opher (July 17, 1932 – November 28, 2020) was an astrophysicist and professor who worked at universities in Israel, Brazil, and the United States. He was a pioneer in the field of astrophysical plasmas in Brazil, where he worked from 1982 to 2014 at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of São Paulo (IAG-USP).
