Reginald 'Reggie' Earnshaw was born on February 5, 1927, in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, and is believed to be the youngest person killed in action during World War II while serving in the British armed forces. He died on July 6, 1941, aboard the merchant ship North Devon off the coast of Norfolk.
