She holds the Pernot distinguished chair of microbiology at Oregon State University since 2020. Additionally, she leads the Tara Pacific expedition and is a co-producer of the documentary 'Saving Atlantis', which focuses on coral reef conservation and the challenges they face due to environmental changes.
