Razzuq Faraj Razzuq (December 6, 1919 - January 13, 2003) was an Iraqi poet and university professor born in Al-‘Ashar, Basra, to an Armenian-Iraqi family. He earned a degree in Arabic from the High Teachers' Institute in Baghdad in 1944, a master's degree from the American University in Beirut in 1955, and a PhD in Arabic literature from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London in 1963. He taught at several Iraqi universities. Razzuq published poetry collections including 'Wajd' (1955) and 'Al-Musafir' (1971), often withholding his work due to the political climate in Iraq.
