Raymond Dare was a British cyclist and member of the Kingston Phoenix Cycling Club, born in Scotland on June 28, 1926. He began cycling at age 12 and competed actively starting in 1951. Throughout his cycling career, he won several championships between 1958 and 2014 and set a national record for older age categories. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 91 on July 19, 2017, after being struck by a truck while cycling in Buckinghamshire, England.
