Raymond R. 'Ray' Calverley is a retired British slalom canoeist, born on April 3, 1951, in Haslingden. He competed from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s and achieved notable success, including a silver medal in the K-1 team event at the 1969 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships. Additionally, he participated in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, finishing 32nd in the K-1 event. He is a graduate of Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
