Raymond Cromley was a Colonel in the U.S. Army and a journalist, born on August 23, 1910, and passed away on February 23, 2007. Before World War II, he worked as a correspondent in Japan. During the war, he served in the China Burma India Theater and was part of the U.S. Army Observation Group to Yenan, known as the Dixie Mission. After the war, Cromley became a writer for The Wall Street Journal and is interred in Arlington National Cemetery.
