Ray Baxter is a former Australian rules footballer born on February 24, 1940. He played for Footscray in the Victorian Football League, notably topping the club's goal-kicking in 1959 and 1960. A key player in his team, he also contributed to their 1963 Night Premiership victory. Transitioning to coaching, Baxter led Mordialloc from 1965 to 1967, earning Best & Fairest honors twice. After his sports career, he held executive roles with Mazda and Lease Plan. He continued supporting football through the Western Bulldogs and various foundations.
