Ratan Kumar Nehru, also known as R.K. Nehru, (1902-1981) was an influential Indian civil servant and diplomat. He held prominent positions including Foreign Secretary from 1952 to 1955 and later served as India's ambassador to China and Egypt. Between 1960 and 1963, he was the Secretary-General of the Ministry of External Affairs during a turbulent period marked by a Chinese invasion of India. Following his retirement in 1963, significant changes occurred in the Ministry's leadership structure.
